ABOUT THE SHOW
Be it elegance or extravagance, casual or every day,
beautiful table settings are the canvas for any
mouth-watering meal, and can be just as important as the
food you serve. In answer to Torontonians growing appetite
for perfecting the art of living well, the Junior League of
Toronto is delighted to announce details of their new
fundraising initiative, DelecTABLE Designs. Featuring dining
spaces created by a host of leading designers, this
inaugural event is the perfect place to find a
sprinkling of
inspiration for your upcoming nuptials, party or special
event;
to reimage the dining experience, or just be entertained by
the always inventive creativity of design.
“DelecTABLE Designs is bringing high-style to dining design.” says Belinda Baugniet, chair of DelecTABLE Designs, and JLT Member. “Toronto is home to world-class design. The chance to showcase the city’s talent pool by way of this unique event, while also raising money for an important non-profit organization, is an exciting and gratifying opportunity.”
Residential architecture and interior designer Dee Dee Taylor Eustace, is just one of the featured speakers
sharing trade secrets and answering your design dilemmas as
part of the DelecTABLE Designs Speaker series. Also included
in the speaker series is Camal Pirbhai of
Studio La Beauté who has created a
must-see multi-media installation for the this dynamic
event; as well as Julia West, Harvey Wise, Lisa
Worth, and Anita Wiklem who have also had a long history of
supporting the Junior League through the ShowHouse projects.
An innovative Junior League of Toronto fundraising program,
over the last 27 years, Showhouse was an entire home
redesign project that transformed 7 landmark Toronto Homes
including Valley Halla, George Brown House, Ronald McDonald
House, The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf, Graydon Hall,
Glendon Hall, and Maclean House which was first remodeled by
Showhouse in 1983 and again more recently in 2009.
